Academic placement Required for every new student. Covers the intake conversation and the personalized plan I build before sessions begin. Your first one to two sessions are where I really learn how your student learns, so the rest of our time together is built precisely around them.

Why a 3-month commitment

Real change takes time. Three months gives me the runway to truly understand your student, design the right plan, and walk them through visible, measurable growth.

Whether your family chooses 1:1 or group, the commitment is the same. Building strong foundations and confidence can't be rushed, and a steady runway is what turns a few good sessions into lasting progress.

Common questions

What's your hourly rate?
My pricing is built around outcomes, not hours. The monthly rate covers session time plus the work between sessions: prep, parent communication, session notes, and meetings I attend on your behalf.
What's the difference between 1:1 and group?
1:1 is the right fit for students who need fully personalized attention and a plan tailored to their unique pace. Group is the right fit for students who learn best alongside peers, benefit from collaborative practice, and thrive with the energy of a small cohort. Some students do beautifully in both.
How do group cohorts work?
Each cohort starts together at the beginning of a 3-month block and stays together throughout. This protects the learning space and lets students build real community with their peers. New cohorts open at planned start dates throughout the year, aligned with the school calendar. If a cohort is already in session when you reach out, I'll share the next start date so we can hold a spot for your student.
How does the group add-on work?
If your student is already enrolled in a 1:1 package, you can add group sessions for $250 a month on top of your monthly package rate. They'll join two 90-minute group sessions per week with a small cohort.
Can my student reach out between sessions?
Yes, quick question support is part of every package. Students can text me a question or photo of their work, and I'll respond with a voice note or short walkthrough. This is for short questions, not full extra sessions.
How does scheduling work around holidays and family travel?
My tutoring calendar aligns with the school calendar. I take planned breaks during Thanksgiving week, the second half of December through the first week of January, and spring break, so families can plan ahead without surprise off weeks. We'll map your schedule together at enrollment, and reschedules within the quarter are welcome when life happens.
What if I'm not sure which option is right for my student?
That's exactly what placement is for. After our intake conversation and assessment, I'll recommend the path that matches where your student is and where you want them to go.
